I just ordered the GDP MK-2 kit for my rig and it should be in tomorrow. I was wondering if the vibration from the engine is going to have any effect on the filtering ability of the fuel filter? Like can the vibes cause particles to possibly slip through? Or am i just crazy? lol. Well just want to hear everyones thoughts on this.

If the particles with "vibrate" through then wouldn't they have passed through anyway (small enough to fit)? If they are too big then they will get caught no matter what. Example. Put a rock on a tennis racket. If it is too big to go through it does not matter how much you shake it. If it is small enough then it MIGHT get stuck on top, but it would have gone through if it was in the right spot the first time. The stocker is mounted on the engine and no one has ever asked Cummins if that would affect it.

I like mine and figure it is EXTRA protection anyway, so BONUS POINTS TO ME and NOW YOU!

No worries man. I've had my BMK-11 mounted on the block for 20K--no problems!! When the filter gets clogged its doing its job. Install a FP gauge inline to monitor the filter.

You OE filter is block mounted as well.

Thanks fellas, i appreciate the input and it puts me at ease. Oh and i totally didnt even think about the fact that the OE filter is hangin off the motor  I picked up some CAT 1r-0750 filters from a local CAT dealer today, cant beat a true 2 micron abosolute filter.
