Mini Maxx w/ Custom Tuning Question

1711 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  mbdiesel
I am planning on purchasing a Mini Maxx and getting custom tuning by Draconian Diesel. I drive a 2010 Dodge 3500 DRW, no mods under the hood other than an AFE Stage 2 Cold air intake. I also plan on doing EGR/DPF deletes with a 4" TBE straight pipe. I was wondering what all I would need to buy to keep my truck running good, and any suggestions on the where to get and what kind. Thanks in advance! :)

Let me google that for you

hahaha. no really. are you asking what to buy for general maintenance (to keep it running good)?

Oil, oil filters, etc. - I suggest fleetguard and Rotella :party018:

No, I mean what deletes should I buy, what exhaust, etc. I'm a real noobie at this so I'm not exactly sure what I want!
Flo pro or mbrp turbo back exhaust. Deff rotella oil.of course a tuner if you are deleting. H&s tuner or smarty.just make sure you get a tuner that does deletes.

Depends on budget. I'm sure your tuner has recommendations for "hard parts" - ie. the actual metal delete parts.

for me - I went cheap:
1) made DPF delete pipe using 4inch exh tube, and flange from "Shibby"
2) removed crossover tube for EGR, used plug from Glacier Diesel and homemade intake cap using intake as a template.

and called it a day.
Not much of a budget to go on. Just want to make it right, so I don't blow anything.

I personally like products by Glacier Diesel.
Happy shopping:
Glacier Diesel Power - Product List
Rollin Smoke Diesel. 2009-2012 Sinister Dodge 6.7L Cummins EGR Valve/Cooler Delete Kit

Rollin Smoke Diesel. 2010-2012 Flo Pro Dodge 6.7 5" Turbo Back Exhaust Systems

ISSPRO EV2 Gauge Kits for Dodge Cummins from DieselManor

Here's what I've gone with. Look good? Or do I need anything more? Going to put them on a Mini Maxx tuned by Dave (draconian diesel) with a stock tune, mileage tune, and street tune, all with a 5.9 sound modification.

Looks good...

1) if you can afford it, go stainless on the exhaust
2) if you EVER plan on a 2nd gen swap (turbo upgrade), dont waste money on deleting the EGR cooler since you will need a new manifold with the turbo swap. Just cap it at the cooler. my humble opinion.

Other than that, looks good. Now get that credit card out! :spank:
hahahaha
I got the down pipe and dpf delete pipe from Rolling smoke diesel and
As for the egr I ordered the cross over plug and intake cap from Glacier Diesel. I really don't want to take off the cooler yet, I hope it doesn't hurt to leave it on.
I am planning on leaving the cooler on when I do my deletes, weather permitting this weekend.
