I have a 2005 Ram 2500 crew cab 4X4. I am in the market for new tires and wanted to fill the fenders more. I have been looking at the Michelin 285/70/17 AT2's load range E. I have seen on other forums that I might expect to suffer fuel mileage on this tire. Can anyone give me advise on this?

I put the same size tire in a Nitto Dura Grappler and my mileage is exactly the same. The Dura Grappler is a highway style tire similar to the Michelin and is also E-Rated. I keep them aired up to 75psi for the best mileage....

I have the Michelin's. Smooth, quiet, long-lasting, can't beat em for on road. Not the look I'd like but I'd rather have a tire last 80K not 40K. As far as mileage goes, I'd say they don't help or hurt.
