As some know I'm moving back to Phoenix this summer. Can any of you that ride Dirtbikes, quads, etc. tell me some of the popular riding/camping areas around?

depends where you live and how far you are wanting to go, and what you are looking for trails, jumps, river beds etc. I know alot of places.

There are some great places in Scottsdale (Pima & Dynamite) also on the West side of town you got Mile Marker 11.5 on HWY 74 just Southwest of Lake Pleasant. Wickenburg Vulture Mine is great also!

It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

It seems allot of areas are getting closed around town.

I'll be living Laveen. Riding can be pretty much any type. Trails, etc. Got a 12yo daughter so can't be too crazy with alot of hills, and stuff. Close riding areas are cool, but we drive anywhere from 1-3 hours away now to camp and ride.
One thing I will miss about SoCal is the Mojave Desert and the OHV areas, they are really cool. But as in everywhere, they are trying to close those spots as well

It is closed. I was up there a few months ago and an officer asked me to leave the area.

Ah If your a hunter itll help you get to places and ride. 4 peaks is a good place to go. Its a good back way to get to rosevelt lake. But if you have a hunting license It opens all the state trust land up for your use. Instead of going out and buying a permit for each vehicle at like 35+ a pop. But the whole state in general is a good riding area, just depends on how you ride and what your looking to do, on where you will want to go.
