I'm try to find out what the best twins set up is, I dont tow anymore than 10k lbs but whats goin be the best set up & injectors for some towing,1/4 more than anything & the every once in a while sled pull. I'm wanting to be anywhere around 800 or more on hp. Right now im running the silver 64 what should I do with it sell it or try what, it's a 64/74/14 & I know its not good for the set up im lookin for

keep your 64 and put it with a s480 for a nice twin setup

Well thats what I thought but i've had ppl telling me the 64 bring a 74 14 isnt good that it would b to laggy I dont know

That right there will get you capable of 800.

That's exactly what I run, except my 64 is a 64/71.

You're definitely going to need more injector and IP than you have right now though.

Yea see thats what i've been told was 71 or 68 so having a 74 whats my options or is having a 74 ok? I don't know im being told multiple things

You'll be fine with it.

It spools okay for you now, right.....that's not gonna change, especially if you upgrade to bigger injectors and toss a little more heat at it.

Yea it spools fine thats what I didnt.undetstand the guy tellin me this said it would get worse,ok cool I didn't want to get.rid of mine i.like it I just want more.what size injectors? like 200's

If you get a good EFI Live tune 150's should be all you need.

Let Me tell you I'd love efi live but for whatever reason they don't make it for 03, I'm waiting patiently tho

Well, short of waiting for EFILive, not that I'm partial to it or anything :), a PPE would be my choice on an 03 - 04 motor.

I just sold the ppe like 3wks ago for TNT/r I liked it I just had the standard tho not hot+2

I think I will try hot+2 tho I did like how smooth ppe was smarty just don't seem to do well on my truxk i've had the s 06 b4 & didn't like it got the ppe then had the chance to get TNT/r & thought I'd like it better but really don't

The problem with the 74mm turbine is its more a high rpm turbo. It's gonna be a slow spooling setup on compounds. I'd drop to the 71mm turbine. II pushes the silver 64 and silver 62 so much that once you get it and wanna do twins later you're kinda in a pickle. You can use it but once the wastegate opens then most of the exhaust goes to the big one. You don't read or hear anyone using the 62/74 or 64/74 in a compound setup. Personally I think you'd be better off and happier with the 64/71. I had about an hour long conversation with Shane @ WD about the 62/74 in a compound setup and he said its too much turbine for the 62's and 64's to run efficiently in compounds.. things couldve changed. That was 2 years ago haha

Ok I'm going on what cumminalong is sayin he's got a bad truck & you do too & obviously both you to know more than me thats why I'm Asking the questions so maybe you can discuss what you think with each other & get to the bottom of it, I see what your sayin handshaker just sucks having to spend more money on this turbo that i've got already you know. I do appreciate both your alls input I just want to know as much as I can about the issue cause I like doin all my own work so the more info I can get the better. You say no its goin to spool slower he's says it won't change

I'm not doubting Rich. I'm just going by what Shane told me about 2 years ago haha. Things have changed since then so it could possibly be a good setup.

Yea I don't know either I start gettin confused with all the different numbers flying around. I'll probly juwt call II & see what they say but same time they are salesman too so thats why I'm wanting to know your alls inpur
