map sensors and edge box

I have an adapter that plugs into my map sensor and map sensor harness with a pig tail out of that harness that has a plug on it thats 01-02 style map sensor. So I should be able to run and 01-02 edge juice box on my 99 right. Has anyone else done the same? thanks in advance.
