2000 dodge ram 3500 4x4 with titanium fass. Other than that the truck is stock other than I'm currently putting gauges on it. Truck is running and cuts out randomly but doesn't die. Just goes back to idle. If I push it to the floor the truck feels like it barely has any power. I tap the throttle a few times and then the throttle response comes back. Am I looking at a map sensor? Only code I have is 1693. Just put a used VP that my buddy had in his truck he was parting out. Pump ran fine in his, and I just pulled it and checked everything and it seemed fine. Didn't have any problems for the first few miles. Recently replaced my TPS as well. I also replaced this sensor about 8 months ago with a napa part. Haven't hooked the truck up to the tablet scanner yet but I've read threads from people having similar problems and it being the map sensor. Any wisdom or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Scanner came back with 0216 inj pump timing error. I just pulled the VP to ensure it is aligned and the truck never dies, just seems to loose a little power, then I got the pedal a bit and it comes back. Happens more when the truck is warm. I'm waiting on a part to come in the mail to measure my fuel pressure. Anything else to try untill I get that sorted?

Is there anything I can do to help limp it a little further? If I run some oil in my fuel would that help lubricate it a little more and prevent the sticking?

Read through this article if you haven't already. Good info. As mentioned above your VP might be toast. Running oil most likely won't solve the issue. It can't hurt it either.

Thanks for the info. Will check out my lift pump. It being a fass with a draw straw is that something to worry about specifically?

Some 2 stroke oil in your fuel can help some, but p0216 like others have said the not something that you can recover from normally. A galled up timing piston will stick.
