Hello,

I am having a problem getting reasonable amounts of turbo boost. Towing uphill, I might hit 22 psi. if I push it. Normal driving seems ok, a little laggy, but tollerable. Most boost I have ever seen the Edge display is 23-24 psi - and only once. It seems like I can hear the boost just washing or dumping down the exhaust. Occasionally, there will be a loud clunk and all of a sudden the boost will build and the truck will take off, but by the time it does this I am either at the top of the hill or already going too fast, so I have never been able to really push it post-clunk.

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

I dont think anything is wrong. Does it spike up above that on hard acceleration? I dont think mine holds steady above 22-24 PSI. You may have a stuck VGT nozzle. That clunk may be it releasing. Do you run the E-brake often? Does it seem to work well? How about more info about your truck? Mods? DPF?

the boost indicator on my dashhawk rarely shows more than 3-6psi. I've seen it up to 11-12 a couple of times. I run the EB all the time, but I don't feel like it really works that well. The largest load that I've pulled was probably about 4000lbs. I was thinking that it would cause a really noticable deceleration...

I run the exhaust brake often - it works great. Mods include Edge, BADP DPF Delete, AFE Dry Filter. Still feels like it needs more boost. Pedal to the floor, 23 lbs is all I will see. Seems like others are seeing 30+... Like I said, sometimes, once you hear the clunk, the boost picks up and the truck takes off. I can't help but think that the two are related. Any other thoughts?

pedal to the floor should cause it to spike to 30+ and then go back to the mid 20s.
I know when I installed my edge and took it out for a drive the alarm would always go off because it came preset to like 30psi and everytime it would spike it would set the alarm off.
