hey i have a 2002 dually with 24v cummins and i have had an issue with lower then normal fuel pressure @ idle and higher then normal EGT on idle any ideas i have changed the lift pump for fuel pressure and it worked for a few hrs and thenn it went back to the same thing it does have a edge juice with attitude any ideas please help thanks :confused013:

Since its a stock lift pump, Its not enough to support the fuel demands of the Edge. What is your fuel pressure at right now? If its too low you will starve the injection pump which is the last thing you wanna do.

There's your problem. With the Edge programmer turned up to Max it will burn your VP up from a lack of fuel pressure. $900-$1500. For a new VP-44. You need a better liftpump asap. Check out dtt asassin, Fass, airdog, Raptor. :thumbsup: You need atleast 15 psi but a lot of guys shoot for 20 psi at idle and no lower then 10-12 at wot.

Cummins6sp5.9 is exactly right. Theres no way the stock pump will keep up with the Edge. I personally would look into a FASS or DTT Assassin. The new AirDog pumps have been having some issues.

Also the fuel pressure is 17 @ idle and 13 at normal drivin on lvl 1 but when i first put the new pump on i was on lvl 5 and it didnt get any lower the 13 at wot but now it is lower

I would say yes...its causing them to run hotter. Get a better lift pump on there as soon as you can.

You might want to verify with a mechanical gauge its been known for electric gauges like Edge Juice to fail and start to skew up or down a bit and read false numbers after water hammer damage has taken place to the sender.

hey guys thanks again for all your advice jus orded the FASS system and new edge juice with attitude found out my old one was NFG soi am hoping to have all that on the truck in the next few days and we will be roalin some coal again thanks again every one for the help greatly appreciated :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hook the system up and go. No mods needed other then what comes in the kit. PUMP THAT FUEL !
