My cousin has a 99 cummins 5 speed.I told him how important a Fp.gauge is,but he hasnt got one yet.ANYWAY.his truck wasnt running that great so he took it into a local shop to get checked out and they said it had low lift pump flow.He put in a new "stock"lift pump tonight,bled injectors and NO START.Codes are p0216,0253,0251,1688 and 0252.
Could someone please send me a link to the code sheet that I can't seem to find.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:He said the truck absolutely will not run.:confused013::confused013::confused013:
PLEASE HELP.

With those failures, I'd check the wiring connection to the VP44. If that's good, start diagnosing the VP44 with instructions here:

Blue Chip Diesel Performance Specialists

It's either a loose connection or $1000 and a couple hours to fix.

We printed off the Blue chip's test procedures and followed them step by step.
After all of the codes are cleared,as soon as the ignition is turned on again(before crank)
P1688 comes back.?Shouldnt that code only come back after the engine has been
turned over?
