hi there!


i have a problem, i have lost some off my boost....i have blocked the wastegate hose, and it was giving me 38psi, but now it only put out 24-30psi...some one have any idea? i would like as many thougts and ideas as possible, thanks:confused013:

some, but not all...i will do that today...is it bad to drive with the wg hose blinded? i was never over 38psi....

the turbo isn't very efficient at that pressure, and is makes very hot boost. The drive pressures are much higher at that range as well because of the inefficiency so it puts a much higher axial load on the turbo shaft and bearings. It will wear the turbo out quicker. I don't know what the stock boots typically come off at but I don't think it is much higher than that. It is possible you did have a coupler/clamp come off.

i see, i am going to uppgrade to a bigger turbo anyway...but i`ll check all hose and clamps:thumbsup:

i lost boost on my stock turbo too and it was the diaphram in the waste gate. put a new one on good to go maybe that could be it.

could be, but I think he said he has his line pinched or disconnected.

I made one of these to detect my leak. Pressurize the system with 20lbs of air and spray soapy water on all areas that air passes thru....Works Great!
