Hey everyone the other day my truck started to lose power. You can hear the engine when going down the road go up and down like it can't find a good rpm to stay at. Also when I get into it the boost gauge will get up to 20 PSI then go straight to 0. I can't even get over 85mph because I have no power when this occurrs. I have changed all of my fuel and air filters and looks like I have enough fuel pressure. Could this be the waste gate? I just need to get it fixed. Thanks for the help.

Before I finished installing my blow off valve I put my truck together and the valve would open at 10 psi of boost, bleeding the rest into the atmosphere. I drove it to work like that because I didn't have a choice one day. Egts and smoke were completely out of hand. I think you have a fuel issue or rail pressure issue. Do you have a rail pressure gauge?

Agreed rail pressure would be very good to know.

What is the tailpipe doing during this. Smoking?

Any codes at all. I'd clean the map sensor too. Two torx to remove.

Cold start troubles? Warm start troubles?

Rail pressure is good. It smokes when I lose boost and my egt's start to climb. I can't find a boost leak. But like I said once I his 20 psi on boost it goes to zero and no power because of no boost. And no codes.....
