Like the title says, after my truck sits for roughly 2-3 hours it loses its prime. My pump looks as if there may be wet spot where the allen head plug is on the front side of where the afc cap comes off. I've ground my fuel pin down some and was trying to figure out if maybe the o-ring that is on the fuel pin that rides along the fuel cone seems bad and needs replaced. Does this sound right to your guys? Thanks.

I would say your probably sucking air into the fuel system. After your truck has sat for 2-3 hours and before you try to start it open the bleeder for the filter and manually pump the LP.
Watch to see if air bubbles comes out first or fuel, if air bubbles then your sucking air. Your truck should fire right up like normal.

I did as oldram said and no bubbles. But I closed the bleeder and pumped manual pump 15-20 pumps and it started the first half crank, but still seemed to have air in fuel because when first started it was like the engine was under load then cleared up after about 30 seconds of running. What should I be looking for now?

How many miles on the engine?

So it was a shot of fuel with no bubbles when you bled it?

If you have fuel in the AFC housing then the "O" ring is leaking by.

255,xxx. Haven't took off the afc cap off I'll look either today or tomorrow. Will that be causing it not to start? And yes just a shot of pure fuel as far as i could tell. But it was in dim light so I'll take afc cap off and look for fuel and try the bleed valve again tomorrow when i can see better.

The next time you bleed it to check for air bubbles close the bleeder and try to start it without pumping it some more after the bleeder is closed.

Check your fuel pressure it should be 3-5 PSI.

I don't think the leak inside your pump would cause it unless it's leaking real bad.

I checked again today and still seen no bubbles. You don't think it could be the check valve in the lp do you?

So after you checked for bubbles in the fuel did it start hard?

Then your not loosing prime to the filter. You might want to check your FSS to see if it's opening right.

The fss is working. Run 12v to it and can hear it click. And it also has good connection

Have you checked your fuel pressure? If your LP isn't putting out enough pressure it could make it hard to start.
