First off I am looking for a regular cab, long bed, 4x4, manual. So which one is better, a 5 or 6 speed? I am going to be doing some modding to it when I get it so how do all of these parts sound?
Head Studs
90# valve springs
200hp inj.
exhuast manifold
Sled Puller 66 turbo
Intake
Intake manifold
Haisley Machine Street Puller clutch
Guages
Smarty or Quad Adrenaline
4" exhaust(probably to a stack)

what are you gonna be doing with this truck? and it will depend on what rear gears you have too

Sounds like you've got it planned out pretty well! But you also may want to add o-rings or fire-rings. Also, on your 5 or 6 speed debate, I'm more partial to 6 gears myself.

FYI Smarty for 2nd gens is 65hp. Really doesn't compare to the Adrenaline. You should just drop the "or" and change it to "AND"

My truck now is a 6-speed and I really like it, but I've never drove a 5-speed. Found a truck in Iawo but not sure on the rear end gears. This truck is going to be a daily driver and maybe go drag racing a few times a year.

THe 5 speeds are a heck of alot cheaper to build / rebuild if you FUBAR one. Less gears to shift on the strip. Thats about the only upsides to the 5 speeds.

yep you will have to put a big input shaft on the 5speed for the dual disk, also you will have to get fire/orings if you plan on making some serious boost which you will with the setup.

i personally like the 6speed for durability

the second truck on my signature is going on the rollers 6/20 so I will tell you what the smarty/adren/pulse stack will make

Nope. Lots of folks go to the SO pump because its tough to break 500 with the HO.

I don't really know a whole lot about the oversized lines, but I assume it takes longer for the pump to fill 'em up at idle, thats why you get the lopey idle and it plays heck with the autos.
