OK, I made the suggestion earlier today and it hit a sore spot with more than a few people. So is there any lawyers on the forum willing to take on the EPA and Dodge in a class action suit to get the 6.7 Cummins to run right once and for all? This is no joke. I for one would be willing to sign and I have not had nearly the troubles that others are having.

If you manage to locate one, count me in. I've been suggesting this for months but can't seem to generate any interest. This is the only way that these issues will ever be resolved to the satisfaction of the buyer.

If we don't find one here, we can find some over the internet and send them emails explaining the case and see if they are interested to take on. As a matter of fact, I sent an email yesterday to a law firm who have done a few cases with big companies like UPS, Fedex etc. to see if they be willing to take the case. I haven't heard back from them. I think all of us need to put our heads together and do some research to find a reputable firm to take this case...

If they do contact you, send them a like to this forum, and any others you can think of that deals with the 07 and newer diesels and the emissions problems. Maybe they would get excited then. Ford and GM are having very similar problems as Dodge.

Last time there was a nationwide class action suit the lawyers got tens of millions and the plaintiffs got . . . a coupon for a discount on a new GM vehicle. Better luck with state by state lemon laws on an individual basis.

When selecting a Lawyer, keep in mind the fact that 99.9% of Lawyers give the rest a bad name!:lol3::rof:lol3::rof

I am in, also!

you guys are every bit right, something does need to be done and qwick! with todays judicial system it all comes down to who has the most money. you could murder someone and get away with it if you had enough money.
Where the EPA is the Government, i dont think it would be worth fighting over in court, it would cost us way too much money(millions). I dont think we could get enough funding to support a legal battle against the government.
There are too many tree-huggers in the governmental system.

But i am in all the way!

Not sure about that. Seems every time theres a law suit for issues like this the only ones to win are the lawyers. The consumers get a coupon for $1000 towards a new vehicle or some oil changes. Rarely is the award such that the problems for the consumers are solved.

I don't think that "class action" is the way to go. I'd just find an attorney who'll take the case on a percentage basis upon winning and file it in state court. If enough owners follow this, Chrysler is going to have to hire a whole bunch of attorneys to defend all the suits in all the states. Just my $0.02....

i think that is a good idea. although it is right to think that it probably wont do any good unless you can get enough money together.

maybe if your lucky and can get ahold of the right people at cummins or even chrysler then maybe they will step in and help out. but dont get your hopes up.

Get on the internet check under lemon law. Every state is different and there are lawyers that specialize in it. Send them your case they will jump on it and let you know your options. I initally did that and got a call back in a few days. But I went with my corporate lawyer and I am currently in a new truck that is worse than the first.

Need to get in touch with your state Chrysler headquarters. Nobody will give you that number for complaints in fear of losing thier job, you will get the run arounds and directed to people that only listen to your complaint, but that is it. Dead ends! Lawyers are usually a bit more influencial and have the time, because it is a very long process. Took me 5 months.

Calling Chrysler

I have called Chrysler numerous times about the trouble with my truck. I always got someone in India, or Lord knows where, that could barely speak english and was reading from $&^(&)( :mad:cue cards. Then (typically) I would be put on hold for as long as 48 minutes! ( I timed it) And always get told that I would need to speak with a supervisor and would have to call back!
I finally decided to bite the bullet and delete the emmisions stuff. Now so far so good. I haven't had anymore trips to the dealership.

In my opinion, calling Chrysler is a big waste of time.

Right, you yourself calling is a big waste of time agree. Find some one who has the time and specializes in the area.

The problem is, no one (at least myself) wants to give up their truck!

What do you mean "your second 08" you mean they replaced the truck already?

Could you share with us what problems you're having that you have it in the dealer?

Thanks
