Hi!

I recently purchased a 24v Cummins.

It's a 2002, Quad cab, short bed, 4x4, Automatic with 125,000 miles.

I'm looking to run 12's.

What parts am I looking at here?
Tuner
exhaust
Turbo(What size)
Injectors(What HP)
ect?

Thanks.

Also, where is a good place to buy performance parts for these trucks?

its going to take about 600hp to run in the 12's with an auto. and you will need a few thousand dollars and a LONG list of stuff.

lets start off small. guages, fass or air dog, and exhaust should come first.
you may look at a twin set up. that may be easier. maybe something over a S400 or S480? lots of fuel, big injectors, built tranny, lots of money, and a lot of time to do it. you can do it though.
Welcome to the site! I'd agree with Broke Down. A set of twins, big injectors, proper tuning, a built transmission, and all the stuff to hold it together. Also, as for where to get parts, any of the site vendors can help you out. And if I may, I'll recommend Gus at FBD. Great product and great service! Hope this helps!

about $8,000 should get you there if not more.
Another great person to work with is Olee Poole at Power by poole, they are great and are one of the best around, and his products are second to none, He has some wicked toys lol
with about half of that in just the tranny :lol4:
say 5k for the tranny, 3k to piece together some twins and you are already at 8k realisticaly...add sitcks, a box, exhaust, lift pump, gauges, other little random stuff and the money starts stacking...that assumes you do it all on your own too...

oh yeah you could drop 10k on this no problem.

tranny- 5k
twins- 3k
sticks- $700
electronics- $1200 (stacking boxes or redline)
rings, studs and springs- $1500
inj pump- $1000-$2500
ad or fass- $500
exhaust- $500
guages- $400

:S: :S: :S:

im going to quit, this is getting painfull :lol4:

What's in my sig was good enough for 12.84 on 285-75's. I haven't tried it on the 265's yet and I haven't made a pass yet using the nitrous or the Snow water/meth set-up that I have acquired. I'm hoping for 12.4 or so with a little spray using the same combo. I'll have to go to larger injectors in order to see more from the nitrous. I'd do gauges first followed by an Airdog and then a built transmission. There are alot of good tranny builders out there, what is important is service after the sale and having your builder local so he can service it for you if something happens. What state are you from. That will help with recommending a builder and parts dealer. Hitting the classifieds on sites like this one and Diesel Truck Resource will save you 1000.00s on a turbo, injectors, and electronics but the tranny and Airdog will probably still run 499.-529. for the AD and 6000.00 or so for a tranny with billet input and output shafts. Don't even try for 12s without a billet input and output shaft.
