So after I put the mbrp exhaust on and pulled it apart for various reasons, I saw some liquid residue in the exhaust. Almost like an oil draining down the pipe. Is this blowby or normal for a diesel?

i would guess its just condensation that has been discolored from soot, thats just me though

condensation mixed with soot is the problem ...perfectly normal , dont worry about it . :thumbsup

x3..........it could also be oil residue that is burning off of the new exhaust.

x5. On a side note, at a past job I had a guy compained that our shop installed his muffler wrong cause there was water leaking out of the exsaust in the mornings.:rof
