I have run multiple different versions and none of them have given me a ample or noticable amount of smoke. What i resorted to was a smoke switch that basically bypasses the MAP sensor and sends a full boost reading thus overfueling. I find this advantageous because im able to run SW1 and get 24 MPG and roal a lil only when i want to. If you go to the diesel bombers website and search cummins 6.7 smoke switch click on the one titled can you smoke switch a 6.7 and everything you need is there. I have run it for almost 20K now and have had no issues with it. Hope this helps.

The use of a smoke switch must be regulated by the driver. There is a proper time and place. Being able to control it and not needing heavy acceleration is better than running a hot tune.

2nd gen tunes?

O.K. I'm new here and have posted in other threads trying to find a good "delete" tuner for my '07 6.7 2500.
The Smarty S67 looks to be a good one but current models won't accept "delete" tunes.
Anybody know where to get a tuner that will accept the ME tunes ? I found the different tunes on this website but need a tuner that will accept them. I would really like to find one with the ME tunes installed. Also apparently the tuner (if it's a used one) has to be VIN "unlocked" so as to be programmable to my ECM.
I'm wanting to do deletes but not necessarily any performance changes. Truck runs great but how long will it go, eating it's own exhaust......

Your best bet is to search ebay and craigslist for a used & delete capable tuner.
The forum for sale section is good too but you haven't been a member long enough to have access.

Since you're looking at (mostly) stock power and deleted then you could expand your search to the J-67 (SmartyJr) also.
I'm running deleted and stock power with the J-67 and it works well. I used to run the tow tune (+60hp) but decided I really didn't need the extra power, just deletes.

Used S-67's go sell in the $4-550 range and the used J-67's $250-300.

As you said, the tuner needs to be delete capable and unlocked.

A tuner will display #Smarty# on start up if its vin locked and Smarty if unlocked.
Have the seller send you a picture of the start up screen to prove it's unlocked before buying.

A delete capable tuner will have an "A" or a "P" in the serial number.
As above, have the seller send a picture of the serial number too.

Dont worry about having to load a tune onto the tuner. It's not that hard and there's Youtube videos you can watch to show you how.

Yup eBay for sure, and no need for the S-67 if you want stockish power, j-67 is all you need. It took me about two weeks of searching eBay once or twice a day to come across a used j-67 for $300.



Anything more, like 350-500$ and I would just buy the low end efi live from Anarchy, it’s just over $500 iirc. Overall better tunes.

ebay has become my daily visit place...I am curious about the EFI you spoke of as it is my understanding that the current EFI tuners will do deletes but are a bit more pricey, no big deal. They also talk about a CSP5 switch OTF. I'm don't know what that is.......what I'd really like to find is a tuner with a monitor that stays plugged in and monitors different functions such as trans temp boost,etc. I understand you need a probe to accurately monitor egt's and that's fine as well. The Edge tuner/monitor would be ideal but does not do deletes. I'm thinking I'll just go with old fashion egt gauge and maybe a trans temp gauge to monitor those two and not worry about the rest. I'll be checking for a J-67 later. So far I only looked at S-67's.....

The cps5 switch gives you a dial to change tunes on the fly from 1-5, 1 is ideally stock with deletes. It’s normally on more expensive timers, plus the 70-80$ for the switch itself.

Good Morning. I have been trying for 2 days to download the s67 2012 update but the file will not open. I would appreciate any help you guys might have.

Dropbox has made it more difficult to download files without having an account but you can still do it.

Select the file you want from the list.
This takes you the next page with the file name in two places.
At the top right you'll see three dots, select this and then select "direct download" from the menu.
The file is then downloaded to your computer or phone.

Hello. I just bough an s67a off a guy on eBay and its showing unkown software whe I try to link it to my 2012 2500. If i do the last file update will it fix that? Also does it give me the option to decide if I want the dpf and egr deleted. I don’t have them deleted he but I am planning on doing it soon. I would like to tune my truck for now though. Do I just need to use the software from MADS website for now?

If you just want to tune the truck without deleting then yes you need to download an emissions legal tune from mads site.

Your 67a should be a delete capable tuner so you'll need to download the non US tune.

When it comes time to delete then you'll need to download a delete tune from the dropbox site.
