So how do I go about resetting limp mode on my 2006 ram 3500 5.9l cummins?
Had P0243 turbo/supercharger wastegate solenoid A malfunction on and accelerated to pass a vehicle and went into limp mode. Going to put in a boost fooler and spring waste-gate.

Should be able to disconnect batteries for 10 minutes or so to reset the computer. You might even turn the key on while the batteries are disconnected to drain any current left in the system.

Found my problem, no power to cyl's 1,2 or 3. just have to figure that out now. Thanks for the reply.
Check for DTCs.
Bank 1 was shutdown due to malfunction of an injector electrical circuit.:wink2:

Tried that but for some reason my Bully Dog Monitor won't connect to my truck when I try to do a DTC check. Monitors OK though. Need to get my EFI Live changed over to a Dodge license.

Having Issue with Cyl's 1,2,3 not firing. Checked resistance from valve cover through injector and showed
#1 5.5
#2 1.0
#3 1.5
#4 1.0
#5 1.0
#6 1.0
Checked for grounder wire back to ECM, all are OK.
Anything else I can check?
Would the high resistance on cyl #1 cause the bank to shutdown?
Or is it the ECM?
It seems that every once in a while it would run normal for a split second and then quit.

I don't know, truck is running fine now. Had the injector plugs off at the valve cover a couple times, disconnected the waste-gate solenoid. Started, ran rough for a few minutes and then puff, running fine. Took it for a run and only 22 lbs of boost so I pinched the line. Now 30 plus lbs. need to build the spring waste-gate actuator and the boost fooler.

Anything more than 1 ohm thru the harness and you have a bad injector solenoid or VC gasket. Ideally you would have less than 1 ohm at the harness and .5 at the solenoid but that is dependent on DVOM sensitivity.

If you haven't replaced VC gasket lately start there.

WG actuator spring will hold in excess of 50 lbs of boost if it maxes at 22 psi when the WG controller goes bad. Don't worry about the actuator spring, just get a boost fooler and boost elbow. Put the boost elbow in the boost reference line with the bleed screw all the way in and on the actuator side, should limit your boost to 35-38 psi.
