Basically when shoudl I use this?

Other ethna adjusting yoru tire presure... is ther a reason to have this turned on?

If so, what parameters does it change?

It only changes the TPMS settings for the tire pressures. If you want to run lower pressure in the rear tires you can and use the light load button to keep the tpms light off. Check the drivers side door jam for the correct tire pressures.

Then I shall leave it alone, because Ihave never had a TPMS light come on.

Me niether and I have mine set to max pressure. Never know when I might hook up to a trailer and go for a drive. Sure would suck to have to look for a air tank first.
