Lift pump

Been interested in the air dogs for awhile now, although thru reading about many peoples issues with them, I'm no longer interested. I used to own a mustang which I installed a kenne bell blower kit that came with a boost a pump. My understanding with this feature is that it will boost pump pressure under wot and or boost conditions. I'm wondering if this can be utilized in the cummins. I'm thinking of doing a intank upgrade utilizing the stock pump, oversize fuel line to cp3, with a frame mount 2 micron filter, and a kenne belle boost a pump wired in. Anyone???

I'm guessing you have the canister mounted lift pump? Just a switch to a stock in tank pump should be plenty fuel for 700+ hp.

Have an 06 mega cab. Looking to get better filtration without starving the cp3. Truck has efi live tuned by anarchy.
Oh ok. Well if you want a new pump I'd say fass. Like you said there have been a ton of problems with airdogs lately. GDP makes a filter kit. There are a few other kits out there but that's the only one I can think of.
I have an airdog on mine for about a year with no problems so far. :blues:
Fass 150 hands down.
What have been the huge issues with the airdog? I heard it was mostly due to the filters not getting changed and the ball thingy not getting cleaned.

Pumps leaking, pumps going bad, melting fuse in harness, cant hold pressure....
Didn't airdog change up something in the design in the last few years as well?
yeah, they sold out and QC went in the toilet. +1 for FASS

That's what i firgured lol
whats been going on with the raptor pumps? ive had both and the one thing I liked about air dog was the quick connects.
It was mentioned that the stock intank lift pump can handle 700 horse. Does that include some kind of intank mod?

Nope. Stock pump, stock lines, everything. Just as long as it's not the canister mounted lp then it's good to go.

But regarding the canister lp, aren't all 06's canister type??

No all 06's are in tank pumps. Only 03 and maybe 04 had the canister mounted ones.

Oops. When you said canister, I was thinking intank module. If the stock lp is capable of such horsepower why are so many upgrading to fass or airdog?? Came across a cat 2 micron Donaldson w/s kit that sounds interesting.
I've seen 839 hp fuel only with stock lift pump and dual cp3. Still a good idea though, added filtration is a good thing.
Fuel lab is another pump but only have heard a few people talk about them, that's just my 0.02
