I bought the extensions for a 2" lift and did not need. Couldn't even get them in. I do kind of wish I had changed shocks at the same time, while you got everything apart but I don't think is necessary.
It depends on the year of the truck. The 2010+ trucks have slightly longer factory links so you can get away with them. The 03-09 trucks have shorter ones that will most likely get bent with a 2"+ lift and eventually break. It is suggested to replace the shocks at the same time.:thumbsup:
