Ive had my 04.5 for over a year, soon after i got it I slapped on the 2" level kit and noticed soon after a 2-3 mpg decrease. :CRY:

Is this the norm for leveling kits ?

With the prices staying the way they are I am thinking about taking them for a while and see what happens.
Then after i save my dough get the 3.54 kit from Randys ring and pinion. :$:

There is more air drag underneath the truck when you lift the front.

I have a 3500 with a 2.5 leveling kit on it and I haven't noticed any dramatic difference...not a 2-3 mpg decrease for sure.

I reckon I can take them off for a month and see what happens.

I also will have to remember to keep driving it like i stole it so I keep the stats real. :lol3: eelout

the leveling kit wont give you worse MPG, its the bigger tires that go on after the lift lol

i couldn't see 2 inches higher up front with the same size tires make a noticeable difference. I did notice when I put my 35's on 2 mpg drop though.

BullyDogCummins steal has stock tires on his truck i think it would have to be the bigger tires

My tires are the size up, 285 series.

That should help, shouldnt it ?

Ive read where the 295 Toyo open countries load range E have better mileage since the tire is taller, yet narrower than the others.
Is that true ?
