I have a question I was driving my truck to work today and I was only getting about 26psi of boost this morning at WOT. For the past ten days I have been getting up to like 39psi of boost at WOT but the temp. outside has been up in the mid 80's. This morning the temp. outside dropped down to like 34 out so is that why the boost dropped because the temp. outside got a lot colder? any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Think about where the boost is coming from. It is artificial. Coming from air through the air filter to the turbo, from the turbo through the cooler and finally into the intake where you boost pickup is located. Anywhere along this route could be a leak. You can began by making sure everything is tight. If this does not reveal anything, the next step is a pressurized leak test. You can do a search on this sight and others to find the set-up.

well you are driving a 05 truck, which mean you could have (probably do have) the intercooler with plastic ends. I blew mine apart running the 40psi pressure in just 1 evening. Now it don't really blow apart it just bends the tabs open so air can leak. With your exhaust you may not hear the rushing air coming out of it. I did a close inspection with a light and noticed one corner on the cooler where it looked a bit different and sure enough the gasket was being pushed out there.

Also, don't rule out the obvious: the air filter. It is the start of the whole process.
