Leaking at injectors

1099 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  2004qcsb6speed
I've got a leak coming out around my injectors. I looked into this and it appears the injectors sit on a flat washer, and the fuel tube connects to the injectors with an o-ring in there. I'm pretty sure the o-rings are leaking. Anyone know where to get these? I can't find any, my truck is a non-intercooled 1990 which supposedly takes different injectors than 1991-93.

There are no "O" rings that seal that, you just need to tighten the hold down nuts. There is a "O" ring at the top of the hold down nuts and those are for keeping dirt and water from getting down around the injector bodies.
Only place that can really leak would be the top of the injector where the fuel line connects and where the return line meets the injector.

Bringing this back from the dead. How tight do you tighten the injector hold down nuts too. Just snug or something like 30ftlbs?
Use copper antiseize and torque to 45-50lb/ft.
