What’s goin on fellas? First post on this forum so if it’s in the wrong destination please forgive me. Anyway, I have an 06 Dodge 2500 Big Horn with the regular SLT front bumper. I like the looks of Laramie/Sport front bumper much better and want to know if any one has 1.) did this swap or 2.) know what parts are required. I’ve done research and found some threads on here and other forums but none of them have quite answered my questions. I know that the Laramie/Sport bumper cover won’t fit over my slt chrome bumper and that I’ll have to buy the whole assembly. But what parts do I need outside of the cover and facebar?

Keep a look out on Craigslist and buy a complete setup from someone that's removed theirs. That's what I did

I've researched the crap of this as well and for whatever reason there just aren't a whole lot of threads on here that give you a walkthrough of what you need and how to do it. From what I gather, a cover will work and it slides over the chrome piece of the SLT bumper after your remove the painted part. That sounds like its going to look terrible though.

Your best bet I think is to hunt for one at a junkyard or on craigslist. Im currently in that process now.

@BigmanT773 I've read a few different threads where guys have tried to place the cover over top of the SLT chrome bumper but I think they ran into fitment issues since the chrome bumper isn't the same part as the actual facebar that goes behind the laramie/sport bumper cover. Believe the cover may require different brackets. Anyway, I'm gonna keep looking on craigslist in hopes that one pops up. I did happen to find where you can order the front bumper cover painted to mathc your truck for like $350 on ebay
