Laramie and Laramie Limited differences?

So I have a 2014 2500 Laramie Mega Cab CTD BAP on order. The more I see the Limiteds the more I wonder if I should of order a Limited. I really like the black/gray interior pieces instead of the fake wood. So I'm wondering what exactly are the interior esthetic differences. I know the painted bumpers, different stitching in the leather, and added leather covered parts like the grab handles. Question is, is the leather quality the same as a Laramie and can you order the black/gray accent interior pieces to replace the fake wood components in the truck? I was planning on painting the wood components in the interior but if I could find the Limited interior components for a decent price I would do that instead.

From what I've read the limited interior is a thicker higher quality leather. I'm picking mine up tomorrow. I don't know if there's 10k worth of upgrades over a Laramie but I like the Limited so that's what I'm getting.
the limited has a better quality leather. the wood is real wood not plastic.

I believe no heavier than Longhorn leather though. Just blacked out and painted Longhorn, basically. It is very nice, if you want black interior.

We wanted lighter color interior, so turned down Limited. And ordered Longhorn.
I have a Longhorn Limited, the leather is "higher end" and, as stated, the wood is real, not fake....
as for the price difference, yes the higher quality leather is more expensive and in my opinion worth it as it will last. I've also noticed its more comfortable. trust me I've had them all. my dads 09 1500 is a laramie with the cheaper leather and there is a big noticeable difference in the quality compared to my 13 limited.
Can't get the Limited with a stick so no dice for me. If that matters to you it might be a deal breaker.
I've only looked at one Limited. The first thing I noticed when opening the door was a brushed aluminum piece instead of the plastic trim piece at the edge of the carpet. IIRC it has Limited etched into it.
It looks really nice, but I can see it getting scratched up over time.

For $10,000 difference, I don't think so. Maybe if it was $1,500 or so.
Besides, I don't like the extra stitching on the leather. The nicer leather would be good though.
When I was building mine, It came out to roughly 5k difference between the Laramie I was building, and the Laramie Limited I ordered. The Limited has all of the features standard that were optional on a laramie. Keyless go, Convenience group etc. Since I wanted fully loaded, and I loved the leather/real wood of the limited, it wasn't a difficult decision for me.. other than the price!
The Longhorn and Limited have different gauges as well.

Laramie has "leather trimmed" seating, Ltd. has "Leather".
a while back when i had my 07 in getting the leather drivers seat fixed for the third time, i was talking with the seat guy (lol) and he told me if i wanted to put say katscin leather in the 07 it would be close to $8-10,000 to do. i also talked to my dealer who had a ram 1500 redone from top to bottom with a special dealer package and they added katskin leather to it. dealer told me it was over $10,000 to just do the interior. they told me the katskin leather is softer, more comfortable, last longer, and is easier to take care of plus is actually harder to tear (i don't want to find out about the later). after driving my dads 09 and getting my limited, i am very happy i paid the extra $$ on the limited. its deff nicer than the laramie and i would deff do it again.
Tuffguy I think you are sadly mistaken

Your trying to tell me that it cost 8 to 10,000 dollars for Katzskin leather.

The leather is different than the Laramie (says my buddy that owns a Laramie after he rode in my truck). Not sure if it's thicker but it can be damaged--it's really soft. And it's grippy. I can't slide in the seat like I could in my '06 Laramie with leather. This is both good and bad. Also not sure if the wood is real of not as I have not damaged it to see (I would guess it's not).

The Limited comes debadged and the interior is very nice.

Not sure if it's worth the extra coin but it's nice. When you get the Limited, there's not many options to consider as most comes on her.

it is real wood. I've been told its not as good of wood as the longhorn as the longhorn uses some special wood which I'm not sure what it is. my dealer (yeah i know :confused013: "dealer") said the longhorn wood is some special wood that is hard to find, not sure what that means and i don't know why it has to have some special type of wood as i think that is getting carried away.imo
It seems a lot of folks are repeating the 8-10k myth re just the leather...there a whole lot of features that come standard with Limited i.e. Monotone, Wheel to wheel side steps, rambox (for SRW), 20 inch wheels (SRW), convenience group, NAv 8.4AN, keyless, parking sensors, bed liner, and a whole bunch more...at the end the actual difference for real wood, buckle pouches in back, high end leather and other custom features is perhaps ~3-4k?

At the end, if you like the look and usually buy it fully loaded then that's the way to go
When you compare the limited to a similar equipped Laramie it is only about 2k more. For that 2k you get the 20in rims, upgraded interior and painted bumpers
