Hey guys. Just moved to louisville. Wondering if anyone else was close by. Wrenching alone isn't as much fun as wrenching with another over a few beers.

Welcome to the area!
I'm about 50-60 miles south west of louisville, do more wrenching on farm equipment now days than on my truck.
Had to give up the beer, work time was interfering with beer time, it was ether give up the job or the beer.
Hated to give up the beer :crying: but I needed the job.

Not much activity on here for a while, hope all are doing well.
Been a crazy year for farming, wet wet wet, dry dry dry, hay crop was pitiful this year, fall hay has little food value that will need to be made up with grain feed.

Everyone remember the 2018 F-150 I got back in January

Well I hit a fricken deer with it 1/2 mile from the house yesterday.
Damage doesn't look to bad, but I'm still po'd about it.

Wife's gone to town and will stop by the body shop while she's out, hopefully that little $30 plastic bumper cover is all it needs and i'll take care of that myself, but our insurance covers 100% on deer strikes so we'll see if the body shop finds anything else.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to everyone!

Its been awhile, but do I belong anymore?lol I moved to ohio! Sold the duramax and bought another 06. Merry Christmas to me haha. It's pretty stock and already had the fan blades come apart and take out the wiring for the fan clutch. So did valve lash and electric fans. 258k miles and I dont think the valve cover has been off. I broke the seal on the back valve cover bolt where it says what to adjust rocker spec to. And of course they were way out of spec so should run better atleast 😂 also changed all fluids. Have some gremilens to figure out but over all felt it was reasonable. 13,500 for 06 mega cab 254k miles and new tires. Stock, trans has been into/replaced. Very little rust. Hope you guys have a good new year and had a great Christmas! Also got me a big 12 on opener of gun ! In ky of course !!

Nice deer! Got a rotator cup acting up so couldn't hunt this year, other than the doe I got with the new pickup.
Need to look at the fuel system on my Fummins again, parked it heading up hill the other day and it acted like the fuel system was full of air, fuel pressure has been down about 10 psi for a while, guess it's time to replace the lift pump.

ptown44: what part of western Ky are you in, local guy here doesn't have a shop but is good at tuning the electronic trucks.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Ok, nhill0212 use to live in Hopkinsville but has moved to somewhere in Ohio.
I'm about 100 miles north east of you, nhill0210 might know someone there that is trustworthy to tune on you truck.

Nice!
Thanks! He was a brute I have him being mounted now! Cant wait for him to come back !

Destroked 450: deer with trucks are never bueno ! And missing out on hunting always sucks in my book.

ptown44: I did live in hopkinsville, I had taken my truck to integrity auto once in clarksville on riverside. He was cool his name is Tommy clayton. My overdrive housing cracked and I didnt have a way to change housings myself. As for tuning I drove to anarchy diesel to have one truck dyno tuned. Spent a few hrs there and got my truck dialed in. Before them with efi I had firepunk, not dyno tuned and truck made 760 ish and after i left anarchy she made 927 on fuel. So i was super impressed with the difference. (Also threw on dual cp3s ae I knew I was draining my tail on previous tunes so probably where the jump came from) but still ! I was pleased !

Forgot to follow up on my deer strike.
Cheapest deer strike damage I've ever had, found out my truck has a steel bumper, only damage was the little plastic cover, got one off eBay from a dealer in Tx, $25.10 to my house, I was stoked.
The one I hit two years ago in our 01 Z71 done over $2500 damage and didn't bend any sheet metal. Took out the bumper, grill, all lights and the condenser.
