I just bought my first truck, '04 2500 CC with 170k on it.

I was underneath it today and found a wire harness dangling near the driver's side foglight. It is NOT the foglight and I cannot see any harness missing it's other half. Any ideas?

Maybe the PO had and aftermarket light bar or extra set of fogs.

Its almost looks like your fan clutch plug. Its a bad design and if it comes up-clipped the fan will cut the wires.. a lot of guys just unplug it and run without the clutch. Only really need it in the summer with A/C running while stopped.

Long ways away from Fan Clutch wiring and not enough wires.

Is your Washer motor hooked up?
Is your Outside air temp sensor hooked up?

To me it looks exactly like the Plug for Fog Lights, including the little nub that goes in the hole to secure it in place.

Is this the one you are talking about?
It is the temp sensor for the overhead readout.
Not the same type of plug.
