Hey all,

When I turn the wheel hard left and right on slower turns (i.e. parking lot) the truck makes a hard clunking/knocking noise under the pass. floorboard. Any Ideas?

Did a search but the tie rods,u joints and ball joints seem Good dealer went through everything before they sell anything. Hell it has a 6month/6000 miles warranty just from them. Bushings been replaced too. Otherwise than that really love the truck. First Dodge. Thanks.

Sounds like it could be your tires rubbing on your control arms (from what you described w/ hard turns left or right in parking lots. Tight turning spots). What size tires do you have? You can easly look at your control arms for rub marks from the tire. No biggie.

If you have stock tire size then it will be something else and can be a alot of componenets to track down (end links bent, u-joints, hubs, track bar, bushings, etc..).

I would say track bar. have someone turn the wheel back and forth and watch the bar. You will see it jump if its bad.

jack up the tire and put a pry bar under it and pry away and check for any movement. dont put too much faith in the dealers word that they went thru everything. you have a 6month/6000 miles warranty so bring it to them to repair

I have an 04 with the same problem... reach in around your tire and wheel and you will be able to feel the movement in your u-joints... it could possibly only be one side but late 04's and 05's are known to have weak u-joints... the u-joints aren't expensive but a big pain in the to replace.
