Heres the down low, we had a snow storm pass through yesterday. So the night before, I plugged it in. Im standing outside 5 minutes later and i smell something electrical burning. I ran over and un plugged it and instantly traced the block heater cord all the way up and everything was fine. Also made sure the truck still started and turned on, everything was alright so I figure that will be the last time I plug it in until I can figure out whats going on. I go out to go to work today ready to jump in my car and heard a buzzing from my FASS pump. Go to turn the key on and nothing, dead as a door nail! So I guesd what Im asking is if anyone has experienced this problem or what could be the culprit...?

block heater cord is not connected to anything electrical on the truck, it is merely a 110v heating element that is screwed into a coolant jacket. that said it couldn't do anything to the truck wiring unless it was on top of a harness, it melted, and proceeded to melt through the truck harness.

I would check your batteries, they may be dead from the cold. For good measure check the block heater cord again, very closely. pull it up from under the hood and plug it in again, watch it to be sure it works.

Well thats a big sigh of relief. Im not sure whats going on as far as it going dead, the batteries are brand new and I drove 200 miles on the truck when i got it back last friday before parking it. I guess whats weird to me is the pump was on without me having the key on in the truck, also something was clicking in the dash. When i turned the key on the pump stopped and so did the clicking.

The fass didnt kick on until the truck was like completely dead. I know that because i was out shoveling snow two hrs before. Its almost like something got left on but there wasnt anything on...! It seems almost like the ignition is stuck on right now. I noticed when I bought the truck the ASD Relay clicks all the time, Haisleys said it was possibly from the Quad box. Brand new batteries as well, less than two months old. I find it weird that the pump was on with they key off, its wired in to kick on with the radio fuse.
