Go to edmunds.com. Build and price it there, it'll show you invoice. On a ~~$65k truck, invoice is about 5500-6000 below MSRP.
If the dealer threw out that number then there is more room of course. These are "units" to them, in/out all the time. Closer to the end of next week the deal will sweeten even more unless you come back with another offer. So $8000 total off msrp is a good deal on either of these? That's what is the current offer from my salesman.
What dealership was this?Just bought a 2013 a few months ago and received the Chrysler affiliate pricing that's 1% below invoice. My sticker was $54k (Big horn) and the invoice was $45k. Take another 1% off and that was my starting point and then tack on any other eligible rebates. Check out the affiliates website to see if you or your spouse qualify. I work in the financial industry but my company qualified.
As others said with a sticker of $65k you're probably leaving money on the table.

If they sold the truck to you for invoice they would pocket the rebates and all of the holdback PLUS the check Dodge sends them when they sell the truck to you. Don't settle for the "invoice" price because they're making way too much money. What dealership was this?
I ask because I am being told, I have not seen the invoice yet, that the Big Horn I am purchasing is MSRP 54,565 and Employee Price 47,327. Employee Price is lower than invoice and lower than Affiliate price. Yet your Big Horn, same MSRP, had an invoice of 45,000?
Did you actually see these numbers on the invoice?
Maybe I am being lied to, and need to call your dealership?
Thank you for your help.

That's what I was thinking. There is no way there's 9k spread between MSRP and invoice.
I'm not "settling" for invoice price. I am paying Employee Price, which is the lowest price listed on the invoice. It goes MSRP, INVOICE, AFFILIATE PRICE, then EMPLOYEE PRICE.If they sold the truck to you for invoice they would pocket the rebates and all of the holdback PLUS the check Dodge sends them when they sell the truck to you. Don't settle for the "invoice" price because they're making way too much money.

It gets better after some computer learning and you get a better feel for the torque management. Its weird, but I've adjusted.Just test drove a '14 and overall it was really nice. You could take a nap between pressing the gas and getting going from a stop. Punching it from a 50 roll felt strong. Very nice truck but needs some tuning. Now to get the price right.
