Well I Toor the top end of my truck apart last week. I installed arp studs, DDp Injectors, and Hamilton Springs... Install went fairly smooth other than me being extremely Anal with parts and what not.. I OWE A BIG THANKS TO MEMBER WAP 13 aka Will .... He did all this to his truck about a month a go and so when I had questions i was calling him...

I will post up pic's later tonight when I get a chance.. I took over 40 picturs and a lot of notes so I can do a very detailed write up for anyone who's interested in doing this to they're truck.. Ask Wil i was very paranoid about doing this as I am no certified mechanic just a back yard wrench thrower!! and after it was all done i laughed at how easy it was!!! Fired the beast up last night and ran like a top!!! Now I just have to pull it all apart again to do the re-torque on the studs!!! Drove it around town a little last night and

what size injectors di you go with?
Yes it does feel good!! Quite a sense of acomplishment!!:beer I went with 110 hp sticks:thumbsup

Good deal! :woot:
X2!!!!!!

I am glad you are doing a writeup.
No problem it will help anyone who is wanting to do these mods..

Sounds great!:thumbsup Hope the new toys treat you well!
Me too!!!

Sounds just like what i want to do. Buy all the parts, pull the head put everything in all at once. Should make for a pretty easy install with it out of the truck.
Yeah it would... Although I didn't pull the head!!:thud: I don't have a cherry picker and that beast is from what i hear every bit of 150 lbs!!! I did mine in the truck and it wasn't all that bad number six was a bear but after that it's home stretch!!!:hyper:

I am getting ready to do the same exact thing so a write up would be awsome !! do you wise ones think that the stock push rods will be under alot of stress with double the spring rate ? I don't know if I should think about replacing them as well or if it is not an issue thanks

Good deal. Im very intrested in the write up too...I want to get all the major stuff done before I put too much power to mine and blow a head gasket and then have no choice but to do it. I would rather just drop the money and do it now....

I was pretty nervous doing mine the first time 6 months ago. 7 weeks later my block cracked and had to pull the engine. I was itching to get :butt:holes and elbows into it. Then I had to pull the engine the second time, 7 miles and less than an hour later. Fun factor went out the window then. I was pissed. Now that it is over and my ride is back on the road I feel pretty good. Do it again?? If it's on my dime, not really. Someone else's, anytime.

I am glad I could help Shane and if you need anything else you know you can call.

dragfalcon, I had the same question as you and the stock pushrods are find with 110# springs, 140s are another thing, but besides the stock ones bein strong enough if they are still kind of your week link. If you put in billet pushrods then that moves your week link and I would rather bend a rod then brake a rocker or valve stem or even possibley hurt one of the lobes on the cam. Non of the above are real likely but a good enough reason for me to save my cash for somthing esle and I know the stock ones are fine.

I dont think he will mind me answering for him, but he didnt want the down time that F1s would have required.

Yep what Will said I had intention of having a very reputable shop do the install and they said they could do it all in a day so I did not want to pull my injectors and to send em off and wait for a week or so.. roughly... But then it turned out i could have my truck down for about ten days so I decided after talking with will and getting all the rest of the parts I needed i was goona tackle the job myself... I then could have send the injectors off but honestly I am super happy with these ones and I dynoed the beast today and hit 620 without my mp 8 saw another truck dyno the exact number (620) then re dynoed with his mp 8 and hit 708 so I am confident in saying i am at 700!!!:hyper:
