I have the same setup on mine and haven't had any issues yet (knock on wood), but I live in idaho and typically only go into Utah as far as Logan.

Utah law just says that the exhaust must exit behind the cab witch stacks do. Your fine with them. Davis county are the biggest jerks when it comes to inspections and Ive see a guy pass who had them and that was at the county inspection center.

I would assume you are running without a muffler, just be careful because state law says you actually have to run one. If you don't come to Ogden much that might not be an issue. Ran a straight pipe for 4 years never got stopped, until a dot inspection cop pulled me over and wrote me up on a five day letter for not having one. He was pretty ambitious so if you come to Ogden watch your p's and q's. Ha ha

I know of guys that have gone through the trouble of taking the whole muffler law to court and on a diesel a turbo is considered a sound cancelling device. If you fight hard enough you can get around it. Although it is not worth the fight. I just make a test pipe and use that with a v-band fitting on each side

I have two center sections for my exhaust, one with a resonator and one straight. Takes me about 10 minutes to swap them out. If I was to get any greif or a fix it ticket I'll put the resonator on then swap if back after I get it signed off. I'd leave the resonator in all the time, but my truck doesn't really breathe well through it. My EGT's get too hot too fast with it on.

I wish swapping a muffler back in to get a fix it ticket signed off was the case for me. When I got pulled over by that UHP dot inspection officer on a five day fix it ticket, he made me sign a disclaimer saying that if I altered my truck back to a straight pipe and was pulled over again they could revoke my license plates and impound my truck on the spot. This certain officer was pretty ambitious, to say the least, he wrote me up for a few other things as well. I'm not saying to not run a straight pipe, I extremely miss mine, I'm just saying watch out for the UHP officer in the F-150 in the Ogden area.

That sucks! I now know never to drive up around Ogden haha! Mine doesn't smoke at all, even on the hot tune, so I think I'm fine as far as smoking, and with it being a 6.7 its not very loud. I'm just worried about a cop pulling me over when he sees the stacks, just because its not stock. Then he will find that I am fully straight piped, then, depending the officer, I could potentially be screwed :(
