Isspro EV2 RP Gauge installed and now P0192 code... HELP!!!!

1862 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Grant H.
Just as the title says, I installed the Isspro EV2 Rail Pressure gauge and now the truck has a LOT of injector rattle (what it sounds like to me), idles kind of rough, and throws the P0192 code. It also wouldn't start 2 times. Just cranked and never tried.

I unplugged it all and then plugged it back in, but this didn't seem to help.

Any ideas? I need the truck back up and running, and if I cannot get a good work around soon, I will have to pull this back off.

Thanks in advance.

Check your connections.. You can install them backwards. If it still does it give the connection a twist and re install
i had the same problem when i installed my RP gauge with the connector backwards. It felt like the engine wants to jump out out of the hood. Check you connections like akleeper said.
Check connections as mentioned and if it continued just hook it back up stock and see what happens

That was it.

BRILLIANT!!!

A keyed connector with 2 positions exactly 180 degrees from each other. With the locking tabs and all...

Jeez...

Yup, we stuck some warnings in the instructions about this, it's unfortunate that this connector can go together the other way (but it is easier to put together the correct way). We're going to add some photos to the instructions (you know what they say about 1,000 words):

Here is the WRONG direction

Here is the CORRECT direction.

Here is the correct direction plugged in.

Michael,

I agree, I saw the note after I had plugged them in, but yeah.

Not your fault at all...I blame whichever automotive wiring harness connector manufacturer decided to make a useless keyed connector.

FYI - I sent you a PM on something else.

Thanks all.
