now, this is simply a question and a discussion. something ive been wondering for a while actually.
does anyone ever valves shocks to be designated driver or passenger side. mainly because in the rear you could potentially have 30 gallons and at a little over 7 lbs per gallon, (at room temp) thats close to 230lbs or more of diesel sitting on one side, not the other, also, if you are by yourself, thats another 150-200lbs... depending on what you ate that morning :hehe: that being said you could have potentially 400lbs on one side of the truck and not the other.. do peope like thuren and carli valve their shocks, or build their leafs, or make the coils slightly different on one side vs. the other?
ive heard there is a difference in the coils. but how much? and whats the difference?

yes on some coils there is a difference. for example you have a 2nd gen so if you put for example carli coils on your truck they would send you the third gen hemi coils due to 2nd gens being lighter than 3rd gens. upon installation each coil would be designated "P" for passenger and "D" for driver.

I am assuming they dont do this with leaves because it requires much much more weight to make a difference? but what about the shocks? hydro bumpstops?

No one that I know of valves shocks with side specific valving. I guess you just get a little nicer ride on the driver side by having a little extra weight to push through the valving. Fuel weight and driver weight are not fixed, so you can't really tune exactly for them, unless you
are a race team with a personal shock tuner.
