I had to replace my alternator and belt... After I got the belt installed according to the diagram. There were still some slack in the belt. Even after letting truck run briefly. So... Did I do a dumbass mistake somewhere or is it my belt tensioner that is broken?

I need to go home tomorrow that is 3 hours away... :(

If you had to manhandle the tensioner to get belt on it should be correct. The possibilities are: Installed incorrectlly. Wrong or wrong length belt, Make sure no grooves are running on a flat pulley.
