Yes, it's highly possible on a Diesel.

Now, getting 18-20 MPG while making 800 HP is impossible... But getting 18-20 MPG in a vehicle capable of making 800 HP is possible.

That said, 800 HP is a lot. 600 HP and it's been done, I don't know how many 800 HP trucks are genuinely streeted enough to the point where they can get real mileage ratings on them...

how about a 01 or 02 cummins diesel 2500 manual
yes it's possible, enough :$: and it's yours... why dont your try 500hp first and see what you think. I'm content where my little 23 mpg rig is at right now though, but I am getting better sticks and a airdog 150, maybe I will break 30mpg one day at a mere 450hp :hyper:

Well could you tell me some upgrades you think would get me around 550-600 hp and still get 18-20 mpg? And wat about twin turbos, how much do they affect fuel milage, and wat brands are the best?

An hx35/ht3b twins set up could cool 550-600. To reliably have that much power you are going to need to build up your trans, a good lift pump, good sized injectors but not too big and twins would most likely give you the most drivablity. It will be fun but not necessarily cheap.:$:

There are a lot of companies that make twins kits for the Cummins, PDR, MPI, ATS and most shops offer their own set as well. I am sure any of the vendors on this site would be more then happy to help you out.:thumbsup
