i have a k&n filter on my stock hosing...wondering if a true full aftermarket cold air intake system would be better or just a bhaf......any advice would be appericated
i did a bhaf and noticed NOTING over the k&N drop in with a chopped up stock box.
The CAI is a joke for what most of them cost. The factory tube is smooth inside. Get what ever filter you like that will fit up to the factory tube, then build a heat sheild and have some pride about what you build and that you saved $250A CAI is supposed to be better because the pipe is smooth on the inside but for the money a BHAF is really nice. You could get a afe filter and stick on the end of your factory tube, I used a S&B filter on mine. i would make a heat shield too.
bump to get signature working...BHAF is the way to go. I get more compliments and astonished looks when the hood goes up (ignore the rest of the motor, it's dirty right now)

I'd have to agree with ShilohSho... anybody can buy stuff and hang it on their trucks - DIY and be proud of it. I've still got the water jet program that made this heat shield - PM if interested. :drool2:
