best performing (flow): lots of folks say the stock intake up to a point

Best performing (sound): lots of folks say any that aren't sealed or boxed

There are lots of threads on this topic so if you want some discussion, give the "search" a try

From installing quite a few and servicing more than that, I say go with an S&B system. Stick to a dry element, NOT oiled. The ones with the enclosed filters are the best for maintaining cool incoming airflow, yet flowing more than stock.

It cleans and flows just as well and you don't take the chance of someone servicing it improperly and dusting the engine. At least thats what doug tells me he has a shop in town and helps me out from time to time. Gets a lot of problems coming in from people not taking care of washable filters properly.
