It's pretty simple as long as you have the longer bolts that come w/ the 2nd gen manifold. I tore one of my stock gaskets trying to get my stocker off. Luckily for me mine came with gaskets. You may want to have a spare at the ready.....

The gaskets are only around $5 a piece from the dealer. If it was me I'd get two new and not worry about it.

Yeah piece of cake, like others said, you will need the longer two bolts for the 2nd gen manifold. But other than that no problem, with mine I had to weld on a tab for the 2 micron filter bracket that I have on mine, then I got out the die grinder and ported mine real nice!

And I think that I can notice a bit of difference, maybe, but it has to be a big improvement over the third gen horn.

I have not noticed any difference at all. I know some guys have claimed like 20-40hp gains. When you first look at the inside of the intake it looks like the early ones will flow better but when you look closer it appears to me that there is probably the same amount of airflow. The 2nd gen intake has a wider outlet, which makes you believe it flows lots more air, but the 3rd gen intake is taller at the outlet which "may" compensate for that. I don't know. It's on and the truck runs fine but it's no different than before for me......

prob wont notice much I have the AFE bladerunner on mine and really didnt notice much of a difference, and its a lot bigger than stock intake horns
