Can anyone explain if the intake heater is for pre warmup during cold startups? I dont have cold weather where I live and if it does get colder than 45 I plug my truck in. After doing the EGR delete I noticed the buildup of soot on the heater and figured it cant be on there for anygood reason besides for collecting soot. Seems it would'nt work too good with a huge coating of soot. Wondering if I removerd it from the intake if it would be less restriction. I mean I know it would; though I would like to know if anyone has removed it?

I stopped off in a small south texas town dodge dealer today (raymondville) to have my leaking fuel filter changed. They looked at the engine and said that my egr bypass was cool and the dpf delete was awesome. The whole service dept came out and looked it over. They said they only seen it on the internet and that they had friends that wanted to do it. I told them about the warranty voiding thing and they said they dont give a s*#t. They even went as far as saying they urge to the the deletes. They are sick and tired off working on these trucks. The dude changed my fuel filter in the 100 degree south texas heat while the fifth wheel was still hooked up in the parking lot. Good guys and they only charged me 15.78 to do it. I wouldnt of done it for that on that hot engine.
