In the instructions it says to bypass the stock filter. By doing this i would loose my fuel heater correct? I live in a climate with some extreamly cold winters. How do i keep my fuel heater? Can i just remove the stock filter from the housing? and use it that way or what would be the best thing?

Yes you do bypass the fuel filter and you do loose the fuel heater. I suppose you could keep the heater but I'm not sure how the connections would be. I've had mine on since January here in VA (not as cold as NY) and it has gotten down to the 30's and I haven't had a problem with it.
