Just thought I'd share that the Launch iCarScan X431 bluetooth module and EzDiag software work beautifully for being able to perform an injector kill test on the cheap cheap. I saw it done in a YouTube video and had to make sure it worked for myself and I can confirm it does. The iCarScan module can be had for about $250 and comes with a download license good for 10 Makes / Special Tools software suites. The Chrysler software suite contains the ability to do a kill test on the 3rd gen Cummins trucks, as well as a few other advanced diagnostic tests that you can only perform on the $1000+ diagnostic tools.
