Horse power ratings are pretty vague. Go by hole number and hole size. 5x14 means 5 holes and the diameter of those holes is 0.014 inches. they are both 5x14 injectors. The DDP's are more because of advertising and hype, in reality they are a 155* spray angle and the proper spray angle for our engines is 145*. SDX is a much better product.
Some people have a VERY long wait on SDX's though, and an equal quality injector for an even cheaper price can be found at conta gious diesel. Do a search on facebook. It is a small company that puts out a good product, for a good price, in a pretty short amount of time. Several guys on here run them. I will be running them here shortly.
Thanks I appreciate it. And ill look them up. Have you or anyone else heard of injectorparts.com I found this place online and they have the 5x14 ingectors for a good price
I haven't. Word to the wise though...don't go cheap on injectors. Get a quality, reputable shop to build/set up a good set of injectors and you will be MUCH happier. Pluse I think conta gious diesel 5x14's are only like $450 with cores.
Yeah that place has em for ten bucks more. Thought I would ask about them. But yeah going to call that place tomorrow and get an order in and see how backed up they are thank you for your help
There is no one size fits all turbo. It all depends on what supporting fuel you have, what hp you want, and what you plan to do with you truck. DD, sled pull, race track, tow, etc.
Not all 5x.014's are created equally. There are several different nozzles being used as well as spray angle, the difference is who assembles them. In this case, DDP's have a bad reputation for being slapped together.
