Basically, long story short, on my 93 dually, I tore up an outer rear wheel bearing. In doing so, it also tore up my rear hub that houses the wheel bearings. Does anyone know where in the world I can find one of these?? I've had no luck and I basically needed this thing back together like yesterday. Help!!!

Junkyard. There's a ton of Dana 60 and some Dana 70 rear ends laying around from 70-90's vehicles in junkyards.

check it out, you can put in your zip code and it will search near you. Around me there are quite a few...you don't have a location filled out in your profile so I can't search where you are

Yes sir, that would be it. Is there a drum on it? How much would you like for it? When could I pick it up? Can you tell I'm desperate? lol

How did losing a wheel bearing ruin the whole hub?

I originally said it was a long story... Lol. SOMEHOW, my axle vent/brake line spliter fitting broke off at the axle. I never knew it. It looks like it had been broke for a long time. Basically, through that open hole in the axle, it let road dirt, rain water from driving, dust and grime collect all in the axle. This thing was disgusting inside. The contaminated oil started wrecking all the bearings ESPECIALLY the outer passenger side wheel bearing. It literally destroyed it. It got so hot, that it basically welded the big nut onto the spindle, and it had to be torched off and the threads cleaned up. Somehow during all of this carnage, the outer wheel bearing race, spun inside the hub and tore it all up. You can take a new bearing race and just drop it in because the hub was reamer out and too big now. It actually had probably .050" play, instead of an interference fit.

Well, I met up with cornman on Friday evening. He's about 30-35 minutes from me. Great guy by the way. I got it all put back together by about 1:30am. The while axle got a full rebuild and a brand new posi. The truck feels great now. I can't believe how much smoother and quieter it is now. It's funny how noisy bearing sneak up on you slowly over time.

Thanks again cornman, it was good meeting you.
