It seems to be looking at RPM. I'll confirm tonight and post the method/results.So it's looking at RPMs not the shift selector?
That would make sense also. thanks. My assumption has been that the computer starts counting it as "idle time" any time the EVIC instant mileage changes from a number to two dashes (--).
thanks, seems that would capture all idling. My guess is idle time starts whenever MPH = 0.
Not sure how accurate it is, but I read on here at one time that idle hours should not be over 10% of total hours. What is an ideal idle time to drive time ratio?
0 idle...interestingI don't think mine works. I have 1550 run time 0 idle time. Granted my truck doesn't idle much but there have been some cold days in the last 60k that I never turned it off.

There was a recent post that a guy posted titled 10,000 mile update. (very recent) He posted a pic of his evic and it had numerous drive hours and 0 idle hours. When I saw the post and the pic of his evic I thought it was strange. :confused013:I don't think mine works. I have 1550 run time 0 idle time.
