94 single cab, 185k miles. Bone stock except for afc live, and a new tranny.

As the title says, idle will keep climbing. Seems it only does it in the morning or when its cold (warmup for 10mins in the morning.) But it will climb up to 2k rpm if you let it.

Has a new throttle cable on it, and the idler pully was adjusted as needed. Any ideas?

Seems like nobody has any idea why the idle would slowy raise as you describe it. Did it start doing it with the new throttle/accelerator cable? When did it start happening?

The only thing I can think of is the injection pump itself. Govenor springs? Im guessing the idle will start low when you first start it and it slowly starts climbing.
