You DON't want to stack the c3.2 with a Smarty or a PPE. It is heavy on duration and so are the Smarty and PPE boxes. You want a pressure box to stack with it. Try a c3.1,... an EZ,... or an MP-8. They will help to cool it's egts as the c3.2 is a very HOT egt power adder.

Partly Incorrect Sir. I have stacked mine with my Diablosport Predator and the truck runs absolutely great. I have just the standard performance tunes too. MikeyB has one stacked with his Smarty. I'm not sure what tune he is running with it though. There is another member who has stacked it with a Smarty and he is making a lot of power. I can't remember his handle though. My truck stays nice and cool but I am not in the high HP race anymore so I cannot comment on the EGT thing for a highly modified truck.

Now, it IS a great stack with a pressure box, as OT-OF-HERE said and it also stacks great with Quadzilla boxes. You just have to watch your EGTs when you turn them both up though. I ran the Quad Race box stacked w/ it in my 03 truck before and I had awesome bottom end power. That truck would easily chirp 2nd gear when I was on it hard. Top end power was a bit disappointing when I got it on the dyno though. It felt strong. It just didn't put out the numbers I expected....

I'm stacking a Smarty with the C3.2. It's a great combo. Like already mentioned the C3.2 gets super hot on the higher level and the Smarty timing keeps it in check. I would not stack the C3.2 with a pressure box that has no timing, the EGTs would be out of control.

I have the Smarty set to power level 1 for daily driving/towing with the VA turned off. With the VA on the highest setting I haven't seen over 1200 degrees EGT.

I have already replaced my stock injectors 3 times through Dodge before getting my guages, but it runs right up and over 1200 in a few seconds.

Hmmmm!

Well you can't stack duration w/ duration. You can only introduce fuel for a given period and when you exceed that bad things happen.

The very principle of stacking is to take a product that doesn't do everything (duration, timing and pressure) and introduce and mate it to another product that provides the elements that are missing.

Some of you are making a big mistake and the result will NOT be pretty. Must have deep pockets.

I understand your theory but my temps stay nice and cool so I'm not sure what there is to worry about. I know guys who ran Bully Dog DLs along with a pressure box AND a TST PMCR for years and they didn't have any issues.

Also, I only stacked these to get better throttle response. I do not drive around with my foot to the floor at all.

I'm sure you are stacking something in your truck to get those numbers.

eric brown and fordassassin have been talking about the 03-04 ecm's sometimes not giving full duration/fueling to the point where eric installs a TST to overcome it. he can tell with the scan tool. so stacking a van aaken MAY help a ton... HOWEVER... without knowing exactly how much extra duration you need, you may run into some issues.

You guys may be right but everything "seems" fine when I run it that way.

I guess that I should add that I have really almost completely lost interest in making lots of power. While I had absolutely no issues with that stack, I pulled the Predator off the truck when I was getting ready to pull my heavy trailer to Florida. Since it was my maiden towing trip with the truck, and it is still under warranty, I wanted to go as easy on it as I could. If I did have any issues then that would just be one less hassle I would have to deal with. That was a couple months ago and I still haven't put the Predator back on. I guess I'm just fine with the power the VA makes. I think I'm just gonna sell the Predator because I doubt I'll ever put it back on. I'm getting old.......

I run a va c-5 with my smarty and have not experinced any issues? I play with the settings and keep it where I need it depending. In fact I towed yestarday up an 10% grade 8miles long with a 18K gross weight and never got above 1200* and I topped the mountain at 70mph. I however use my VA-c5 as a pressure box only when running with the smarty.

And that's why we have gauges for monitoring.

The biggest issue I have with too much duration is with the stock CP3 and injectors. Just doesn't like to be pushed beyond a certain limit. The truck falls flat on it's face at that point.

OT-OF-HERE you have to remember the '03-04 only has two injection events whereas the '04.5 has three. Duration can play a big part with the three events. That's why the SMARTY can make create more power with the three events vs. two.

I thank everyone for there input, but is my Van Aaken even adjustable I had some Duramax mechanic install it and like I said I went through 3 sets of injectors, was just trying to figure it out on my own with out going back to him and getting raped again. My warranty is up and cant rely on Dodge to fix it.

If you don't have a switch it's pretty easy to build one if having some knowledge in electrical (or with a buddy's help). I can tell you how if need be.

Look for a gray two pin connector coming out of the VA box, is anything plugged into it?

There wasn't but there is now a 3 way switch to control the power out put. It was still in the box the guy never installed it. OK I feel the difference when i flip the switch under throttle, What else would be good add on's from what i already have with out major modifications?? I just ordered a Banks Techni Cooler becasue it seemed to be getting the best results in all the surveys I checked, and a Flex-A-Lite twin fan cause my stock fan is always making crazy noises.

ur stock intercooler is fine, unless ur looking for huge power. i would rather use the stock fan if u plan on towing...

could have spent that cash on trans...stacking boxes will soon be the death of the trans.. i know from experience broken input shaft
