You said you have the manual pump back, isn't it mounted on the left side of the block above the starter? If so that's called a lift pump (LP).

Also there is a little 10mm bolt on top of the fuel filter that is a bleeder screw. It is on the line going from the filter to the engine.

Thanks, appreciated,
I knew about that as owned and worked on Diesels for years, I cant believe I go so tunnel visioned and missed the hand primer pump!! On a 2H it looks similar but it sits vertically, a Landy has a plunger on top of filter bowl and my Perkins is an electric lift pump so super easy. I was looking right at it without seeing :smile2:
Any thanks guys pumps is back on (not an easy job). After I had finished I though about fitting studs which would have made the job so much easier, just wish I had though about it 2 hours earlier.
Cheers

I was trying to say it was not an electric lift pump, must manual or mechanical. It is always a bit hard on international forums, as things are often called differently country to country so I was trying to hard to be specific when i should have just said lift pump or fuel pump and mechanical. I was born in the UK, I got some funny looks when I arrived here and started taking about car wings, here they are guards I think you call them Fenders.
Cheers
